About Us
The Aerospace Education Program Alliance represents the interests of aerospace education programs. The AEPA is bringing aerospace education programs together, giving these programs a collective voice so they can better help youth pursue careers in aerospace. Aerospace education programs have been inspiring and preparing students for the workforce for decades. These programs are a critical part of the nation’s need to build a robust workforce. Aerospace education programs, while part of the STEM/workforce pipeline, have been operating independently. The pipeline is narrow and leaky. We are not getting enough students through the pipeline to address the workforce need. The AEPA is focused on bringing aerospace education programs together to plug the leaks and expand the number of students in the STEM/workforce pipeline. Accomplishing this goal is critical for the U.S. economic competitiveness and national security.
Goals
- Build a connected aerospace education network to address the aerospace workforce issue.
- Help aerospace education programs collect and use data in addressing the workforce issue.
- Enhance programs’ recruitment of students by connecting programs with other programs in the pipeline.
- Identify and share best practices.
- Establish collective advocacy for aerospace education programs.
- Help programs’ alumni get jobs in aerospace.
