The AEPA Government Advocacy Committee determine key legislative/government issues to address, develop strategies and action plans and then bring the key issues, strategies and plans to the membership for action.
We strongly support the establishment of the nationalAerospace Workforce Development Program to facilitate collaboration and cooperation among key sectors of government, industry and education to address the aviation and aerospace workforce issue. The Aerospace Workforce Development Program will address three strategic issues for the United States by ensuring: safe commercial aviation; strong national defense capabilities; and enhanced global economic competitiveness. These strategic issues are negatively impacted by the aviation and aerospace workforce shortage.
The AEPA has drafted a letter of support for the proposed Aerospace Workforce Development Program to be sent to congress. We are looking to gather support for the concept and want to get organizations to sign on in support of the letter. You can view and sign on the letter below.
